This year's HOTD won't happen without all you good folks right here on tribe.net
There seems to be around 75 of us right here all clamoring to be part of the project.
As everyone knows it's work to put up and operate a bar with a stage for live music.
Lots of people help out each year to make it all happen. Kudos go out big time to
one man for any success of HOTD in 2005. That Man is Mark Yee. Without all his
hard work and dedication to this project it would have been very lame.
Please get involved this year. Bartend. Help build, tear down, manage the stage, etc.
If everyone helps out it will be better for us all and relieve the burdon on those few
that get stuck doing all the work. Should I shut up? You may think so, but I have a feeling
it could be the greatest bar on the playa - with some help from everyone.
Can't make it to Burning Man this year? Then you Must go to Burning Toast Man
burningtoastman.tribe.net for info.
now I'll shut up.

Re: Calling all hands
Mon, July 24, 2006 - 7:21 PMOk, more specific now. Help us out this year. The HOTD needs you.
Please respond with some form of pledge that you can do:
Bartending; It's fun - people give you stuff - and it's free, so no cash register involved.
When; please commit to at least a 1 hour time slot sometime from Monday to Monday
Helping to build the camp- it does take about 20 to put up the tent
When - that's better on Monday, Tuesday, Wed. hopefully not Thursday or Friday - that's lame
Helping to pack it out and tear it down. stuff piles up - it needs to go -
hey free bicycles, and garbage - ooh nice. This happens on Sunday, Sunday, Sunday
Putting up stage gear - got anything to donate during the week?
Donate your cooking skills - we have a bar to run and we forget to stop and eat.
what else? drinks, whores, drugs, we forget to get out much. Bring it all.
HOTD - the Blue Collar Bar on the playa where you can find it all
but only if we're up and running. You can help.
ok i'll shut up now.

Re: Calling all hands
Tue, July 25, 2006 - 2:38 PMAs usual, I'm undecided. I have to see what my budget will be when I get back from Southeast Asia that last week in August. If I do go, I'll be getting in late Friday night because of work. So I won't be able to help set up but I can do marathon bartending and make ice trips. Hopefully, the logistics will work out for me so I can go.
Kudos and thanks to everyone for making HOTD happen again. I had a blast with you guys last year. And this time, I'll be sure to bring my own food ;-).
