I nominate The Gomer Hendrix band to take the coveted HOTD House Band title this year since those guys are doing the most work towards getting a stage going. Am I still playing bass with you guys?
I imagine Curly will also play a set. Lord help us (ie. J.C. should sit in with us). If Spanky shows again this year he could sit in with us for a rendition of "Whiskey on the Playa."
The Serotonins have also contacted me about playing a set. They said they had a great time on our stage last year and want to do it again. I am still working on Carol Channing. The music scene for us seems to be taking shape nicely.

Tue, July 27, 2004 - 10:11 AMWhy the Dmo on bass? What happened to Bill B?
As for the Bloated Lobsters tunes, well, best to leave dead crustations stew in thier boiling pots I say. -

Re: House Band
Tue, July 27, 2004 - 10:12 AMI was gonna say Billy should sit in to play Bloated Lobsters tunes, but if the consensus is to let them stew, then so be it.
Ding! Lobsters are done!

Re: House Band
Sat, August 7, 2004 - 12:16 PMUm, Bill and I are still here...
Maybe ask the band members if they would like to play on their own tunes? How about if two thirds of 'the former house band' Blue Max, Gomer Hendrix, or the Mermen were camping with us and Bill and I said we wanted to play some of your tunes and didn't invite you to sit in?
Two-thirds of a band is the law. Let me check with my attorney and get back to you.
My attorney advises me to drink heavily. -

Tue, July 27, 2004 - 10:12 AMI second the nomination.
And Curly better play a set or 3 or I'll be quite disappointed. -

Re: House Band
Tue, July 27, 2004 - 10:15 AMWell then Curly better practice at least once, or twice, or thrice, or else everyone will be disappointed. -

Mon, August 2, 2004 - 10:24 AMRe: Cowbell - Excellent. I think I will bring my tambourine and we can start the Banned Percussion Instruments Players Orchestra.
Re: Location - Mercury and 5:00. Who-hoo!
Re: Whiskey and Whores - Nice! I feel another verse to the Whiskey song coming on.
Whiskey with my darling
Or whiskey with my whore
Either way I'll get her drunk
And then I'll try to score

Banned Percussion Morning jam. -
-
Re: House Band
Mon, August 2, 2004 - 4:23 PMI will search my house for all sorts of bizarre percussion instruments. I am sure I can find some good ones.
Does anyone have a Vibraslap? Seriously, this is real percussion instrument with a weird name! It's fun to play just because of the name.

Re: House Band
Mon, August 9, 2004 - 8:40 AM....if the whore are doing their job. Unfortunately, they're usually drunk and peeing on your shoe. -
-
Re: House Band
Mon, August 9, 2004 - 5:54 PMsometimes peeing on your shoe is necessary to get the dust off. ( it saves water ) I'm totally into drunk whores hanging around the HOTD as much as possible. I dream about it. HOTD could stand for Hos On Tequila Dynasty.
